All sheds are solidly constructed with quality Amish craftsmanship and come partially pre-assembled. All of the wall sidings are already attached to the 2x4 framing and come in 4-foot wide wall panels. As much pre-assembly as can be done ahead of time is completed without shipping the shed all put together. We provide step-by-step instructions for you to finalize putting everything together, and the average assembly with 2 people takes about 8 hours. We do not provide installers, but if you do not want to build the shed yourself, many customers hire a local handyman to do it.

We can place the double doors (or a single door with windows) on the 180-degree opposite side—just let us know in the “Special instructions for seller” section when placing your order.

Floor and Shingles can be purchased at your local hardware store. You can also purchase the optional floor kit we have in the add-on section. The floor can consist of 4x4's, 2x4's, and plywood - we can give you the details if you would like.

"Bottom plate" is the 2x4 at the bottom of each wall. If you want it pressure treated, you can select the checkbox to purchase it. 

The shed can also be placed directly on a concrete slab if desired - please select the pressure-treated option, and we will treat the bottom plate (bottom of the wall). If placing the shed directly on a concrete slab, we recommend that the slab be 1/2 an inch smaller than the size of the shed. For an 8x12 shed for example, the slab should be 7 feet 11.5 inches by 11 feet 11.5 inches. This will leave 1/4 inch of space for each sidewall. This way, the bottom plate can rest on the perimeter of the concrete slab, and the wall siding can go 2.6 inches down the side of the slab. This will prevent rainwater from entering the shed. If using a slab that is larger than the size of the shed, please let us know, and we will trim the extra 2.6 inches of siding off the bottom of the wall.

Ramp is optional. It consists of 2- 24" wide x 48" long ramp sections and fits both the 60" and 72" door. The ramp only works for sheds that have a wooden floor. If you are building the wooden floor on top of a concrete pad then the ramp will work. If you are using the concrete pad for the floor of the shed then the ramp won’t work. It will automatically come with a diamond plate door threshold for the double door.

The ramp will come with a diamond plate threshold that will attach to the edge of the floor doorway with screws, this threshold has a J-Hook that the ramp will hook into.

What sizes does the Skyview come in?

How fast can it reach my state?

Typical timeline: about 8 days for production plus ~2–9 days transit, with longer transit times the farther you are from Ohio. Rural addresses and West Coast locations usually fall toward the higher end of the range.

How is delivery handled to my driveway?

This kit ships by freight in 1–2 large wooden crates with standard curbside delivery. When a liftgate is available, drivers can usually set the crate in an easy-to-access area. If a liftgate isn’t available, plan for two people to hand-unload the pieces.

Need drop-off where a forklift is required? We offer a flatbed + forklift service (approx. $200–$900 depending on location and kit size). Contact us for a quote.

Do I need a permit or HOA approval?

Many cities/counties require a permit for accessory buildings (often at or above 120 sq ft) and HOAs may have rules on placement, colors, and height. Check with your local building department (AHJ) and your HOA before ordering. We can provide spec sheets and pallet/crate details if your inspector requests them.

Does the Skyview include a floor?

Most EZ-Fit sheds are sold without a floor by default with an optional floor kit available. If you add a floor or choose a larger size, the shipment may be split across two pallets/crates. (See the Pallet Sizes & Weights table on this page.)

What are the pallet sizes and weights for delivery?

What foundation do you recommend for my climate?

Use a level, well-compacted gravel pad (crushed stone) or a concrete slab sized to the shed’s footprint. In snow or frost zones, follow local frost-depth guidance and anchor per local code. A square, level base is essential for doors and windows to operate properly.

Can I paint it to match my home?

Yes—the Skyview uses SmartSide® siding with a primed finish, so it arrives ready to paint in the color of your choice.

Is this a DIY build? How long does assembly take?

The Skyview is designed for DIY assembly by two people, typically completed over a weekend. A Riverside model assembly video is shown on the page—the assembly steps are the same for Skyview.
